After an FIR was registered in Maharashtra, another complaint followed in Jaipur. When questioned by Justice Shrikant, Chandrachud clarified that he did not support such comments in any way.

The judge further remarked, “If this doesn’t count as obscenity, then what does?” and demanded to know how such words could be justified.

The court emphasized that fame does not grant the freedom to insult anyone or make indecent remarks about parents on public platforms.

However, the Supreme Court granted Ranveer protection from arrest, but attached five strict conditions that he must follow during the investigation.

As per these conditions, Ranveer must assist the police whenever called, surrender his passport, and avoid traveling abroad without the court’s approval.
